Suitable for numerous treatment indications

Tumors can be treated very well with the Cyberknife and ZAP-X technology if the relatively strict indication criteria for radiosurgery are met. For example, tumors must not be too large and must have clear boundaries. If this is the case, Cyberknife or ZAP-X treatment is often a much more comfortable alternative to surgery or weeks of radiation therapy.

ZAP-X treatment

While Cyberknife technology can treat the entire body, ZAP-X technology is specifically designed to treat the brain.

Brain diseases

A large number of benign and malignant brain tumors can be treated with the Cyberknife or ZAP-X technology.

Acoustic neuromas (vestibular schwannomas) ›
Meningiomas ›
Angiomas – arteriovenous malformations (AVM) ›
Brain metastases ›
Trigeminal neuralgia ›
Prostate cancer

As an alternative to surgery or conventional radiation, certain prostate tumors can be treated well with the Cyberknife method.

Prostate carcinomas (Gleason 6 and 7, PSA up to 20 ng/ml) ›
Prostate carcinoma – recurrences ›
Spinal column/spinal cord diseases

Benign and malignant spinal tumors represent a suitable indication for Cyberknife treatment.

Lung diseases

Small and well-defined lung tumors can be treated non-invasively with single-stage radiosurgery.

Kidney cancer

As an alternative to surgery, renal cell carcinomas can be successfully eliminated by cyberknife treatment.

Lymph nodes

In certain locations, individual lymph node metastases can be treated with the Cyberknife technology.
